Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the centre information for the private students appearing in the board examination of Class 10th and 12th, to be held in the month of March, 2013. Download the date sheet here. In the board examination, there are also private candidates who appear for the CBSE exams. Finally, CBSE has released the
Centre Information for Private Candidates for CBSE Main Exam 2013.

CBSE Datesheet for Class 10th and 12th Board Exams 2013

CBSE(Central Board of Secondary Education) has released the final date sheet for Class 10th and 12th Board exams 2013. Students who are appearing in CBSE class X or XII Board exams can now download their date sheet from the official CBSE website. The Class 10th board exams will begin on March 1, 2013 and will finish on March 15, 2013.
The Class 12th board exams will begin on March 1, 2013 with English subject exam and will end on March 17, 2013.
Candidates can now plan their studies plan accordingly after checking the date sheet. CBSE has maintained that the date sheet is fairly balanced among all the subjects and it won’t put much pressure on the students.

CBSE Sample papers for Class X(10th) and XII(12th) 2012-13

CBSE(Central Board of Secondary Education) has released the official sample papers for all the subjects of Class 10th and 12th for the exams to be held in March, 2013. This time around, CBSE has added value based questions of 3-5 marks in all the major subjects in the final board examination. It is a great move by CBSE that will benefit the students in a positive way.

What are Value Based Questions?

CBSE has decided that students will be assessed for 5% weight-age in the major subjects such as English, Hindi, Mathematics, Business Studies, Accounts, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, Entrepreneurship & Economics through questions that will be integrated with the content of the subject & analysed on the basis of the values it reflects.
The value based questions will carry 5 marks in a question paper of 100 marks and around 3 to 4 marks in a question paper of 70-90 marks.

SSC CGL Solved Previous Question Papers Tier 2(2012) – Quantitative Aptitude

SSC Common Graduate Level Examination will be held in April in 2013. While preparing for SSC CGL exam, it is very important that you go through the previous years’ question papers to get a fair idea about what kind of questions do come in the examination. We have also written a post about the best books for SSC CGL preparation – if you haven’t read it, click here.
Today, I will share SSC CGL Tier 2(2012) Solved Previous Question Paper of Quantitative Aptitude. This examination was held on 16 September, 2012. If many students are to be believed, this was one of the most difficult paper for the quantitative aptitude in the history of SSC exams. The main focus of the paper was on topics like Geometry, mensuration, Trigonometry, etc. So, if you want to secure good marks – you need to work on these topics really hard.
There are 100 questions in this paper and candidates have to attempt those questions in 120 minutes. There is also a negative marking of 0.25 per wrong question.

New Exam Date For SSC FCI Tier 2(Mains) Paper

SSC has announced the new date for SSC FCI Tier 2(Mains) whcih got cancelled on February 2 due to the management mistake by SSC organizers. More details here
The re-examination will be held on April 7, 2013.

Below is the notice shared by SSC on its official website:

Cancellation of Paper-II and Paper-III of Combined Recruitment for Assistant Grade III in General, Depot, Technical and Account Cadres in the FCI, 2013 scheduled on 3/2/2013.

Due to some administrative reasons, Paper-II and Paper-III of Combined Recruitment for Assistant Grade III in General, Depot, Technical and Account Cadres in the FCI, 2013 scheduled on 3/2/2013 in the morning and afternoon session respectively has been cancelled. Commission has decided that re-examination for all registered candidates will be held on 07.04.2013 (Paper-II in Forenoon and Paper-III in Afternoon).

SSC CGL Job Profiles: Excise Inspector, Income Tax Inspector(ITI), Assistant & Cypher in MEA, CBI, Assistants, etc.

SSC CGL exam is around the corner. You can read the notification here. Many aspirants who are filling the form for the first time are confused regarding the job profiles in the CGL examination. Let’s talk about all the job profiles in SSC CGL Examination.

There are two types of Jobs in SSC CGL Examination:

A) Desk Jobs: These include jobs such as Assistants, Tax assistants, Auditors, Accountants, upper division clerks, etc. The working hours of desk jobs are fixed such as 9-5. (in almost all cases, except Assistant (Cypher). There are no uniforms and weapons. Social status and power is also less as compared to field jobs. Desk jobs are good if you are not concerned about earning lots of money and want a social and family life.

B) Field Jobs: These include jobs such as Excise Inspectors, Income tax inspectors, preventive officers, examiners, narcotics, CBI, etc. There is of traveling involved such as inspections, carrying out raids, surveillance etc. You will have to work on weekends also. Social status and power is high in field jobs. Also includes uniforms and weapon training.
